Q: Will there be support for attending ICSB2008

Q: Where do I get information on exhibiting commercial products at the meeting?
A: Look at the ‘exhibitor info’ page.

Q: Will accepted/selected abstracts by published in some kind of proceedings?
A: No, there are no plans for that because the administrative effort for that is extremely high.

Q: I am applying for support but if I do not get support, can I cancel and get the registration fee refunded?
A: Yes, you need to cancel until June 24 and will then be refunded 100% (in this particular case also the 350SEK stated in the cancellation rules on the registration page).

Q: Is there financial support for tutorials or workshops, for instance to waive registrations or invite speakers?
A: No there is no specific support for this. We do, however, support tutorials and workshops by offering facilities and infrastructure free of charge. In general, ICSB works on tight budget margins.

Q: In case my abstract is rejected, will I be refunded my registration fee?
A: Abstracts are either selected for oral presentation (and in that case should ALSO be presented as poster) or for poster presentation only. In case an abstract is of poor quality or the topic unrelated to the conference it may be rejected. In that case, the normal cancellation rules apply (full refund until June 24).

Q: I missed the registration deadline, what to do?
A: You can still register and participate, in fact you even can register on-site (credit-card payment only).

Q: I missed the deadline for abstract submission, what to do?
A: Abstracts submitted after May 2 will not be considered in the selection process for oral presentation. But any abstract submitted now can be presented as poster. Abstracts submitted after July 23 can not be printed in the abstract book and at this time any abstratc not accompanied by a valid registration will be removed.

Q: Will there by a transit service from the airports?
A: Only for invited speakers/convenors. It is very easy to get from the airports to the conference centre by bus. Check the travel info page.
