1. You must have registered for the conference.
2. You must have submitted an abstract for poster or oral presentation as presenting author.

To apply you need to send an e-mail to the organisers () with the following attachment (one single pdf file with the name “firstname_lastname_year of birth.pdf?)

  • a max 1/2 page justification why support is needed to attend the conference and present the abstract
  • a max 1/2 page description of the project
  • a brief recommendation of the head of the research group
  • a document confirming the status (PhD student or post-doc 24 months after graduation at the time of the conference)
  • the submitted abstract.
Deadline for submission is May 5, 2008 and a decision will be returned by May 25, 2008. Depending on the documentation provided there may be three types of decision:
  • no support granted (in case you choose to cancel your attendance your registration fee will be refunded)
  • support level 1 granted (in which case your registration fee will be returned, but you will need to finance your travel and accommodation yourself)
  • support level 2 granted (in which case your registration fee will be refunded and you will receive a fixed amount to support travel and accommodation. This amount should cover (most of) the travel costs BUT NOT the accommodation costs, which you will have to finance yourself).
Scientists that are affiliated with a member of the NordForsk-funded network “Systems Biology? (http://www.fbd.dtu.dk/sbnordforsk/): contact for arranging support from network funds.
