Workshops & satelite meetings

Workshops are mini-conferences on dedicated topics which are typically organised by consortia of larger projects, activities, working groups, etc. The organisers of ICSB2008 may help in organising the workshop by providing infrastructure. The respective workshop organiser will then cover the costs for the workshops (e.g. renting specific equipment, catering, etc; NB! Meeting rooms will be free of charge). The workshop organisers should handle registration to the workshop separately, preferably by setting up a separate website for the workshop that can then be linked to the ICSB2008 website.

Workshops take place at Wallenberg Conference Centre, Medicinaberget, University of Gothenburg. From the conference centre stop Korsvägen take tram 6 or tram 13 to Medicinaregatan (three stops). Other lines serving Medicinaregatan from different directions are tram 7 and buss 58.Walk into the street to the right and follow the signs.

Workshop venue

The venue for the workshops will be the Wallenberg Conference Centre. This is situated at the Medical Hill which is close to the Sahlgrenska Hospital - for more information see the venue's website.

To get from the ICSB conference - at Göteborg Convention Centre - to the workshop venue take tram 6 or 8 outside the convention centre in the direction south to the stop "Medicinaregatan" (there are two stops in between and the journey takes about 15 minutes). Tram leaves roughly every 10 minutes. From the stop there is a 2 minutes walk to the Wallenberg Conference Centre along the road that passes the parking slot, and the small garden houses. There will be signs indicating the ICSB workshops!

There will also be information at the ISCB 2008 venue with information about how to get there and information about late registration (for some workshops). See the specific information at the different workshops' websites for more about times, programmes, costs and how to register.
